Dr. Ilene S. Cohen is a psychotherapist, blogger, and adjunct professor in the Department of Counseling at Barry University.

Ilene’s work has appeared in Psych Central, Tiny Buddha, and Psychology Today. She is passionate about helping people achieve their goals, build a strong sense of self, and lead fulfilling and meaningful lives filled with rewarding relationships.

Dr. Ilene received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa in 2006. Subsequently, she received her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University.

As a president of her family’s charity foundation, she oversees different projects and donations to charities around the world, contributing towards creating better opportunities to those in need.

Dr. Ilene lives in Miami with her husband, Moises, and their daughter, Emily.
